Service Designer |Â Mechanical Engineer
Who am I?
I am a designer currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated as a proud helluva engineer from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Industrial Design. My major and minor combined my interest of exploring the technical side of fabricating a product with understanding how and why a user interacts with that product.

I love working within a multidisciplinary team to collaborate on challenging projects. I have worked within an international team for two years and am comfortable working with language barriers and multiple time zones. I learn new skills quickly in order to adapt to changing needs on my teams. I believe that a positive work environment with coworkers who come together as a community will result in not only the best work of each team member, but also the best outcome for the client and end users.

Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. Most importantly, I love cooking and baking for family and friends (particularly when they don’t mind if something goes wrong with a new recipe).

Source of my Design Philosophy
eliminating pain points
Growing up in a home with a physically disabled mother, I learned at an early age to look critically at my environment with an eye to design. I watched my father implement countless creative solutions to adapt our surroundings to meet my mom’s needs, and as I got older, I was inspired to do the same. For example, upon entering a restaurant, I began to look for the optimal seating location for my family, one that could both accommodate the large powerchair while minimizing disturbance to other diners. I am regularly finding and addressing the pain points of my mom which fostered my ability to find the pain points of others. Using these pain points to improve my mom’s interactions with products and her surroundings is what has shaped my user-centered design approach. I design with the intent of creating the best experience for as many users as possible.
